OUR TEAM
The founders of WIJs Bijles all graduated from the interdisciplinary course of Amsterdam University College, in which social issues are approached from different perspectives and disciplines. All three are very interested in education and especially passionate about combating inequality of opportunity.

JET VERBEEK
Board member and founder
Jet has gained experience with the development of children with language or learning disabilities through educational volunteer projects such as the VoorleesExpress and as a teacher at a primary school on the Solomon Islands. These experiences have strengthened her motivation to work for equal opportunities in education. Jet is currently specializing in Artificial Intelligence.

LOUISA CRIJNEN
Board member and founder
In addition to tutoring at all levels, Louisa has years of experience in teaching piano and supervising international camps for children. She is especially enthusiastic about discovering creative ways of learning and teaching that meet a child's different needs. Louisa is doing a master's degree in Business Analytics at the Vrije Universiteit.

DANA ON THE FIELD
Board member and founder
During her studies, Dana conducted extensive research into inequality in and through shadow education (tutoring and homework assistance). She also worked as a tutor and homework supervisor for many years. Dana is pursuing a master's degree in Educational Sciences at the UvA, with a great interest in diversity and equal opportunities in education.
